Founder and CEO
Harco has a 27 year career in fine art and finance. He was, prior to founding Overstone Art Services, from 2001 to 2012, Senior Executive with Christie's International as Continental European head, European Client Development head, Member of the EMEA Executive Management Team and Senior Vice President of the Impressionist and Modern Art department.
Prior to this, Harco began his career in capital markets and leveraged finance where he worked from 1989 to 1999 at Paribas, Bankers Trust, and Credit Suisse First Boston where he was in charge of Emerging Markets Group’s loan syndications and bank coverage for Latin America. He then co-founded UK's first online mortgage brokerage business, Fredfinds.com, which was sold in 2001 to AIM listed Netwindfall Ltd. Harco has an MBA from the University of Hartford and is an INSEAD AMP alumnus where he is also a regular speaker. Harco is a member of Professional Advisors to the International Art Market and an Financial Conduct Authority Approved Person.
CLAUDE COCHIN DE BILLY
Claude is a highly experienced banker with a 35-year career in credit trading, debt capital markets, corporate finance and wealth management. He has spent the last 15 years serving family offices, as well as high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. Claude spent his early banking career at Bankers Trust Company in New York, London and Asia, where he held positions such as global head of credit trading and head of capital markets. Following Deutsche Bank’s acquisition of Bankers Trust, Claude headed the consumer, retail & luxury investment banking division in Europe, after which he built and led Deutsche Bank’s family office group. In 2007 he joined UBS as co-head of the global family office group, and in 2013 he joined Kleinwort Benson, the London based merchant bank as member of the executive committee. Following KB's sale, Claude became Managing Partner of Global Family Partners, a multi-family office focussed on direct investments.
OLIVIA FAURE ROMANELLI
Olivia has a post graduate degree from Paris University of Law (Pantheon-Assas) and is a New York University Law School alumnus. She is a qualified solicitor in both France and the US as well as a member of the Paris and New York Bars. After 4 years in private practice with a top tier UK law firm specializing in Intellectual Property law, Olivia joined Sotheby's in-house legal department in London from 2004 to 2012 as Associate General Legal Counsel where she was involved in a variety of commercial transactions related to works of art, private cross-borders sales negotiations and contracts, art loans and bespoke auction consignments for Sotheby's clients worldwide. Since leaving Sotheby’s in London and before joining Overstone Associates as in-house counsel, Olivia has advised a number of private art collectors and galleries on various commercial legal issues and transactions affecting their collections.
Jehad has 15 years experience in technology and software engineering, in a broad range of small and large teams. He has recently led projects for Fintech and web-service startups, after having held a diverse set of roles as an engineering manager, consultant, software engineer, technical architect and project manager, to a number of large technology companies, including Symbian, Nokia, Motorola, Accenture, BBC/YouView and BT, with teams in the UK, EU and USA.
Jehad was an early advocate of Agile practices and strong software engineering principles. The last 5 years, Jehad has created his own start-up companies, having offices in UK, Middle East and Russia, and worked in leadership roles at other start-ups, building general web and Fintech services.
PR and Events
Anna has 10 years’ experience promoting art galleries, art fairs and individual artists, working with clients to deliver a holistic PR service including press coverage, events and partnerships. After gaining a Joint Honours Degree in French and Italian from Bristol University, Anna has worked for two of London’s leading fine art PR agencies, as well as in-house for a high-end Mayfair gallery and an established art fair.
Kate was Senior Administrator of the Collectibles department at Sotheby's New York from 2003 till 2006. She then became Project Assistant and Administrator of the Rugs and Carpets department in 2007, following which she was promoted to Business Process Analyst in 2009 where she worked on Sotheby’s new shipping system. Kate has a BA in History of Art from Bryn Mawr College (Pennsylvania USA), and a MA in History of Art from University College London
Domoni has extensive business and administration experience gained in the auction house industry. She was Private Sales Business Coordinator for Christie's Old Master Paintings department from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, Domoni was Auction House coordinator at Baldwin's Auctions Ltd. and Auction House Administrator at Bloomsbury. Domoni has a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from Bristol RWA School of Arts, a BA Hons in Sociology from the University of Sussex and is currently studying for an MSc in User Experience Design at the University of Brighton.
